CGSO Head Chris John Rener Torralba, PhD, together with members of the Tagbilaran City Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and Secretariat, is currently attending the 3-day Training on Republic Act No. 12009, also known as the New Government Procurement Act. The training is organized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Regional Office VII, in coordination with the Association of Local Budget Officers in Central Visayas (ALBOCV), Inc. This capacity-building activity aims to equip BAC members and procurement personnel with the latest policies, guidelines, and best practices under the new law—ensuring more transparent, efficient, and accountable public procurement in local governance.
