TAGBILARAN CITY EARNS 5-STAR ENERGY MANAGEMENT RATING FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
The City Government of Tagbilaran has been awarded a 5-Star Rating (Grade A) for its outstanding implementation of the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) in accordance with Republic Act No. 11285, or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act of 2019.
CGSO Head Chris John Rener Torralba, Ph.D. formally received the Energy Audit Rating from the assessment team of the Department of Energy (DOE) following the comprehensive evaluation of the Tagbilaran City Hall and Sangguniang Panlungsod Building. Out of a perfect score of 100, the City earned an impressive 96 points, placing it in the highest rating category—5 Stars (Grade A).
Special commendation goes to our CGSO employees who led the preparation of all the documentary requirements and to all City Hall departments and offices for faithfully observing the City’s fuel and electricity conservation policies, which greatly contributed to this achievement.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mayor Jane Yap, Vice Mayor Adam Jala, and Congressman Baba Yap II for their steadfast leadership, guidance, and unwavering support in advancing the City’s energy efficiency initiatives.
