LGU Tagbilaran has once again demonstrated its commitment to energy efficiency, maintaining its excellent rating following the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) Spot Check conducted on April 28, 2026.
CGSO Head Chris John Rener Torralba, serving as the City Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Officer, led the EEC Team in welcoming evaluators from the Department of Energy – Visayas Field Office. The team achieved an outstanding score of 98.95%, reflecting consistent dedication to energy conservation efforts by LGU Tagbilaran under the leadership and guidance of Mayor Jane Yap.
This continues the city’s strong performance, following its previous excellent rating during the DOE audit in September 2022. Congratulations to the LGU Tagbilaran, Tagbilaran EEC Team, CGSO employees and City Hall family for this remarkable achievement!
